What running a grocery store is actually like
The problem
High bill volume
Many small transactions through the day, and every one needs to be fast.
How Billaxy helps
Fast product search and a billing screen built for speed at the counter.
The problem
Different units
Rice by the kilo, oil by the litre, biscuits by the packet, all on one bill.
How Billaxy helps
Each invoice line records its own unit, so kilos, litres and packets sit on the same bill correctly.
The problem
Daily reordering
Fast-moving stock needs checking and reordering often, not once a month.
How Billaxy helps
Low-stock alerts and reorder levels, checked as often as the shop needs.
The problem
Regular customers on credit
The same families buy daily or weekly, often on a running account.
How Billaxy helps
Customer credit limits, credit days and receivables ageing.
These answers use the shared Billaxy core, which works today. Still in development for grocery stores: batch and expiry tracking, and barcode scanning at the counter.
Features
Everything the platform gives a grocery store.
Billaxy's features are shared across every trade; what a trade changes is which modules are switched on by default and a few product fields. What is built is shown with a tick; what is not is marked Coming soon.

Questions
Asked by grocery store owners.
Can a grocery store use Billaxy today?
Yes, for the core. Register and choose "Grocery / kirana" as your business type. The shared billing, stock, purchases, customers, payments and reports run for a grocery counter today, with discount coupons switched on by default and projects and site labour kept out of the way. Still in development for grocery: batch and expiry tracking, and barcode scanning at the counter.
Can it handle rice by the kilo and oil by the litre on the same bill?
Yes - each invoice line records its own unit, so different units sit correctly on one bill.
Can regular customers run a tab?
Yes - customer credit limits, credit days and receivables ageing.
Will I get low-stock alerts for fast-moving items?
Yes - reorder levels and low-stock alerts, checked as often as the shop needs.
Can I bill GST and non-GST?
Yes. GST is set per line, so taxed items and 0% (non-GST) items can sit on one invoice. Every invoice prints as a Tax Invoice; a separate Bill of Supply format is not built yet.
